Art Makes You.

Creativity lives within the neurons of the brain, driven by the beat of the heart, and given to the world through the hands, lips, and eyes of the artist. I’ve been an artist since my earliest memories as a child. Writing and illustrating stories before my 7th birthday, I knew that I found my joy from creating worlds in my head and then making them tangible. At the same time, I found my passion for music, learning to play almost every instrument that there is. I had to know how to play everything so that I could always extract the necessary sound to match the emotion in my heart, and the originality in my mind. 

All of those passions led me to photography, which has become my ultimate creative canvas. I see shots in my mind before I put my eye to the lens. I am a strong believer that every photo should tell a tale that leaves a deeper meaning of interpretation for the viewer. With the same method I use to write songs, I want an image to strike an emotional chord in different ways for different people.

I walk a fine line between advertising and art, and I believe that good advertising is backed by a disruptive feeling of abstraction. Something that makes you question reality, or question what is familiar to you. I like to put people in visual situations where they aren’t sure what they are looking at, in turn they become fixated on finding truth in what their eyes are seeing. Then, when they make their reaction, no matter their determination, that’s when something becomes art. I believe in pushing clients and artists alike to find new boundaries of visual executions in this digital age. 

It’s a powerful thing to be able to stop someone in their tracks while their face is buried in a phone; to make them think, to make them question, and to make them feel.  That is good art, in any day and age.
